What this site is

Soumac is a collection of home-cooking recipes that started as a personal archive and grew into something worth sharing. The recipes here come from across every cuisine and course: chicken on a weeknight, lamb at Easter, ten kinds of pie, soup for cold days.

Each recipe is kept in its own quiet page. Ingredients first, method next, no scrolling past life stories to get to the food.

How we organize

Recipes are sorted into categories — sometimes by ingredient (chicken, lamb, beef), sometimes by course (appetizers, desserts), sometimes by cuisine (Mexican, Italian, regional cuisine). The categories follow how home cooks actually look for recipes when they're thinking about what to make.
